Unfortunately, most of the big Enjoy Bonus Guide and all of the smaller Bonus Shopping Guide are written in Swedish only.  Understanding how and where to use these guides can help you save quite a bit of money and get your full money's worth (and then some!) out of your Guides.

Following is a translation of the informational parts of these Guides.

Welcome to Enjoy:  Your membership should be registered with us! You can begin using your Entertainment card as soon as you have filled in and mailed the registration card located to the right (i.e., in the front of the Guide). You can also register at our website, www.enjoyguiden.com. Your membership is valid immediately upon purchase and through November 30, 2005.

 

This is your personal membership card as well as a pocket index of restaurants and hotels.  Sign your card and carry it with you. The card is nontransferable.  (Do not lose your card - a replacement card costs 150 kr.)

 

Very Important!  Read "How membership works" on the following pages. It is your responsibility as a member to be aware of all rules regarding usage of the Enjoy card and coupons. If you are unaware of or unable to follow the rules, the establishments will not be obligated to honor your rebate.

 

Contents: Fine and Festive: Descriptions pictures and menu examples for gourmet and trendy restaurants; in other words, a large selection of Göteborg's finest restaurants well-suited for representation and festive dinners. Observe that menus and prices change often. Good and Pleasant: Many good dinner restaurants, good kitchens, exciting environments, typical neighborhood taverns. Light and Popular: Foreign specialties, Swedish everyday fare, hamburgers, pizza and fast foot, sweets, cafés and bistros. Pearls in West Sweden: A section with a selection of the best Western Sweden has to offer. Here you can discover everything from first-class gourmet restaurants to popular trendy locations and summer taverns. Favorite Spots in Sweden: Eighty good restaurants are presented here. These are hand-chosen from around Sweden and we hope that this will inspire you to get to know even more restaurants. Leisure, Travel and Culture: Theaters, movies, opera, museums, concerts, entertainment, night clubs and discos. A world of ideas and invitations to leisure activities, body care, outings, sport and trips both within and outside of Sweden. Terms of Use: 1. MEMBERSHIP CARD. Your personal Enjoy membership card can be found in the far front of the Guide. Sign your card immediately and send in the registration form or register at our website. The card may not be loaned to or by others. You are obligated to show identification if requested. The replacement fee for a lost or damaged card is 150 kr. 2. REBATES BY CARD. In order to receive the rebate at restaurants in the Fine and Festive section as well as at Nordic restaurants, you need to only show your Enjoy membership card. The card can be used only once at these restaurants. 3. COUPONS. You do not need to have the entire Guide with you. Remove the desired coupon and present it along with your Enjoy membership card. Read each offer  carefully before use. The discount is valid only under the conditions stated on the coupon. The discount is not usually valid with the purchase of gift certificates. Your coupons, offers and card are non-transferable. 4. EATING OUT - THIS IS HOW IT WORKS: At least two people should be eating together for the discount to be honored. When you order two or more main courses, the restaurant will deduct the price of the least expensive course. "Main course" means that course which constitutes the main portion of the meal, including so-called "Light meals" or pasta courses which are not followed by a meat-, fish- or similar main course. The waiter/waitress should be given the card/coupon BEFORE the check is calculated; in other words, at the same time you request your check. 

5. LARGER PARTIES. With larger parties, a maximum of two cards/coupons may be used. The two least-expensive main courses will be deducted, irregardless of who in the party ordered the courses or who owns the cards/coupons. 6. CHILDREN'S MEALS. Courses which are listed on the menu as Children's Meals do not count as main meals. If a child orders a course from the ordinary menu, that child's course will be deducted if it is the least expensive course ordered. 7. MULTI-COURSE MEALS. If the price of the main course is not specified, then the price of that main course is estimated to be 50% of the total price of the meal's menu price for one person per card. 8 HOTELS. Do not make a reservation before you have agreed to the terms and conditions which are located in the beginning of the Hotel section. 9. OTHER SPECIAL OFFERS. The card/coupon is not valid in combination with other restaurant discounts, such as the Lunch special, Business Lunch special, Evening special, Christmas table, Happy-Hour, special menus, already-discounted meals or with take-out orders (unless otherwise specified). Neither is it valid in combination with other cards/ coupons. If you are uncertain of the Enjoy discount offer, check with the establishment before you order. 10. Enjoy PUBLICATIONS SWEDEN Inc. reserves the right to discontinue its organization and is not liable if an associate establishment breaches its discount agreement or refuses to accept the card/coupon. Enjoy Publications Sweden Inc. is not liable for publication errors or injuries due to uncontrollable forces, such as fires, accidents, strikes or the like. 11. Rules: Fine and Festive: At least two persons should be eating together for the rebate to be valid. When you order two or more main courses, the restaurant will subtract the price of the one which is least expensive. The restaurants in this section require no coupons. You should present instead your membership card at the time you request to pay your bill, in other words, before the bill is calculated.  The rebate is valid only once in each of these restaurants, and the establishment will remove its number from the backside of your membership card. This section in your guide along with Swedish hotels can be also found in the small, practical pocket index provided behind your card at the front of the guide. 

Good and Pleasant/Light and Popular/Pearls in West Sweden/Favorite Spots/Leisure, Travel and Culture: Choose the coupon you wish you use and have it with you. You do not need to carry the whole Guide with you. Always show your membership card and offer your coupon upon requesting to pay your bill. Read each offer carefully before use. The rebate is only valid under the conditions stated on the coupon. Your coupons, offers and card are non-transferable.

Nordic Restaurants: You are entitled to a 25% discount at a large number of good restaurants in Copenhagen, Helsingör, Oslo and Stockholm. Because the conditions in each country vary, read "Terms of Use" which you will find in the beginning of the Nordic Restaurants section.  

 

Hotels: Your membership card gives you a 50% discount on the regular price at over 1,000 hotels for an unlimited number of visits. Please read the rules in the beginning of the Hotel section before you book your room. When contacting the hotel, you should always begin by presenting yourself as a Enjoy Guide member.

Main courses:  "Main course" means that course which constitutes the main portion of a meal, even a "light dish," pasta dish or the like. Dishes that are listed under "children's menu" are not considered main courses. With ordinary multi-course meals where the price of just the mail course is not specified, a 50% discount will apply to the full menu price for one person per membership card. This offer is not valid with take-out (unless otherwise specified on the coupon).

 

Larger parties: When more than two people eat together, the following will apply: - a maximum of two membership cards/coupons can be used per party regardless of the number of different checks; - the least expensive meal is free, irregardless of which member in the party ordered that meal or which party member owns the membership card and coupon. No individual agreements. Those sitting together are considered to be of the same party.

Other special offers: The card/coupon is not valid in combination with any other offers such as, for example, the Lunch Special of the Day, Business Lunch Special, Evening Special, Christmas table, Happy Hour, already-reduced menus, special menus and the like.  Neither is it valid in combination with other coupons/discount cards or for take-out orders (unless otherwise specified).  If you are unsure, check with the establishment you are visiting before ordering.

 

Remember! - Your Enjoy membership is personal and non-transferable. - Read each offer carefully. The rebate is only valid under the conditions stated on the coupon. - Present your card/coupons at the time you request your check, in other words, before your bill is calculated. - Call our InfoLine or visit our website regularly for the latest updates.

Nordic restaurants:  You are welcome to use your Enjoy card at the following restaurants in Scandinavia. Whether you are on a business trip or on a vacation with your family and friends, you are welcome to use your Enjoy discount at these specially-selected restaurants.

 

Terms of use - Sweden: The discount is 25% off your entire bill including all food and drink (including alcohol). The discount is not valid on lunch specials, special offers or on tobacco. The offer is valid for 1-4 people per card, and a maximum of two cards can be used per party. Additional members of your party must order a meal in order for the 25% discount to be honored. The Enjoy card shall be presented to your waiter no later than when you request to pay your bill and before the check is calculated. Denmark:  Denmark has the same terms of use as Sweden, except that the Enjoy card should be presented when ordering and that only one card (1-4 persons) may be used per party. Norway: Norway has the same terms of use as Sweden, except that the Enjoy card should be presented when ordering and that alcohol is not included. The offer is valid for 1-4 persons per card. Café offers are good for both lunch and dinner.

SAVE WITH Enjoy:  As an Enjoy member, you can save money every time you travel and spend the night away from home. Save 50% at the more than 1,000 good hotels and tourist grounds included in Enjoy Guide. With the Enjoy card, you may use these discounts for an unlimited number of days and visits during the validity period.

THIS IS HOW TO USE THE HOTEL SECTION: The participating hotels are listed alphabetically and by land. All of the hotels can be patronized any time as long as there are available rooms. There can be limited availability at certain times of the year.

RESERVATIONS - Reservations should always be made directly with the hotel by calling the number which appears in the guide, not through a travel agent or the Internet. At the time you book your reservation, you must begin by saying, "I am an Enjoy member" in order for the discount to be honored.  Be sure that you have your Enjoy membership card for presentation at the reception desk as you check-in. 

AVAILABLE ROOMS - The discount is honored on an if-available basis. That means that reservations made with the discount are accepted if the hotel does not expect to be fully booked for fully-paying customers for the same nights as your stay. Within the hotel branch, it is normal to estimate that a hotel will be 80% booked. This means that the hotel may not necessarily be fully-booked at the time that you call, but that the hotel estimates that they will be fully-booked during the time of your stay and may, therefore, choose not to accept your discounted reservation.

PLEASE NOTE THAT AVAILABILITY IS LIMITED DURING THE HIGH SEASON, WHICH CAN VARY FROM COUNTRY TO COUNTRY.

CONFIRMATION - Your reservation will be confirmed with the applied discount. Always request a confirmation with a reservation number and note the name of the person who has taken care of your reservation. When there are potential language conflicts, we ask that you fax in your reservation request instead of calling. In order to guarantee a reservation far in advance or to guarantee a late arrival, the hotel may request payment in advance or a credit card deposit.

PRICES - The prices listed in the guide are for the normal price of a double room before discount. The purpose of this is to give a general overview. We are not responsible for price changes. Always request a confirmation of the price you obtained when reserving your room.

A - less than 650:-, B - 650:- to 1100:-, C - 1100:- to 1600:-, D - 1600:- or more

THE REBATE - The discount is 50% off the ordinary room price. The offer is, however, not valid on package prices, special prices, group or conference prices, additional good and services such as breakfast, parking etc. Neither is the discount valid for charter group reservations or other already-discounted prices. A hotel can sometimes offer special prices during a limited time - for example, a special weekend price. In these cases, Enjoy members are entitled to a 10% discount (or a 50% discount of the normal rates if that is to the guest's advantage). PLEASE NOTE: Only one room per Enjoy card.
